I visited many temples in Thailand. Some were planned visits while others we stumbled upon. The structures were amazing and the doors and windows unique with intricate carvings and trimmings.

In front of the White Temple in Chiang Rai. Who needs a fancy door when the building is so elaborate.

Another part of the White Temple.

The windows were often amazing as well.

Stunning images, Darlene Thailand certainly has many many temples and all have their own charm and character…I never tire of visiting a temple 🙂 xoxo

I loved them, especially when they appeared in the middle of nowhere. Each one unique.

I don’t think you can drive for very long in any direction here before you come across a temple …they are everywhere as you no doubt noticed…

I did. WE were driving up to Pai when my sister-in-law asked my brother to turn down a little mountain road as there was a temple she wanted to visit. It was gorgeous and not visible from the road.

Absolutely beautiful! They have such interesting architecture, so intricate.

I agree. I was gobsmacked!

A terrific entry in this series!

What beautiful doors! I’m impressed with the White Temple.

I will write more about the White Temple as it was incredible.

I’ve never been to Thailand, but might go just for those doors and windows. Japan had some gorgeous temples.

The Far East does seem to excel at building temples. I haven’t been to Japan, yet.

Unusual, very beautiful doors!

Thanks, Dave. Very unusual, perhaps that’s why they appealed to me so much.

Hi, Darlene – These photos are wonderful. I love how you captured the gold and the details! Such wonderful memories!

I’m so pleased you enjoyed these photos. They are great memories for me.

Wow! Amazing photos. Have your feet touched the ground yet? I love the White Temple in Chiang Rai. I can’t even begin to comprehend how they built it. Thanks for sharing!

I’ll have to write more about the White Temple as it was something else. I am only just starting to get into the swing of things here, pinching myself to ensure I wasn’t dreaming. Glad I have pictures to prove I was there.

Wowza, Darlene. Beautiful ornate doors and entries. The White Temple is mesmerizing. I hope you had a fabulous trip and, by the looks of your photos, you did!

The trip was unreal. I still can’t believe I did it. The White Temple was unbelievable! Straight from a fantasy book/movie. I plan to write more about it.

I look forward to the post. My daughter spent a year in Thailand and loved it. I didn’t get to visit her there, but hope to see it someday in the future.

You would just love it!

Darlene, those are amazing doors. Thanks for sharing your Thailand photos!

Thanks, Rebecca. Glad you like them. xo

Wow! Darlene, these are all so beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like the White Temple. I can imagine how it was built or how it’s maintained. It’s absolutely amazing.

Thanks, Dan. I’m glad I took the pictures, otherwise I would think I dreamt it all.

I loved tagging along on your adventures!!! Your photos reminded me of this thought:

“The temple bell stops but I still hear the sound coming out of the flowers.” Matsuo Basho

I love having you tag along! And I love that quote which reminds me that I have some great pictures of temple bells and gongs.

Ooh, I love the White Temple!

I thought you would. There will be more about that temple.

Lovely doors so artistically done Darlene.🥰

Thanks, Arlene. I was blown away by the doors in Thailand.

Such color and design–so foreign to me–and probably to you, until now!

Very different but so amazing! I’m so thankful I got to see these sites.

Pretty gorgeous doors and windows. So amazing the gold detailing! Great photos!!

A beautiful collection of Thailand Temple doors, Darlene! They all are splendid!

They were all so fabulous.

Yes, they were. I took a few photos when we were in Bangkok.

The doors are so rich with carvings. And the white temple looks like it’s an ice temple. Beautiful images, Darlene. Thank you for this trip around Thailand. Xxx

Thanks, Smitha. The white temple was something else. I’ll tell you more about it.

Would love to hear all about it.

Wow, the white temple is amazing!

I know, right. It was worth the three hour drive from Chiang Mai.

Your photos are gorgeous and the subjects exotic.

Unbelievable, aren’t they?

Exactly! Glad I have the pictures to ensure I actually saw them myself.

These are such beautiful doors. The designs and details are stunning.

It was the details that attracted me to these doors.

Wow! The White Temple is stunning.

Isn’t it just. It will need a post of its own I think.

I think you’re right!

Amazing. The detail is awe-inspiring and something I never ever see where I live. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos.

They were very different for me as well. Glad you enjoyed these doors.

The art work is amazing, Darlene. So delicate and intricate.

I know. I was so amazed at the detail. I’m pleased you liked these doors.

Wow, amazing photos of incredible structures. 🙂
