Welcome to Thursday Doors! This is a weekly challenge over at Dan Antion’s blog for people who love doors and architecture to come together to admire and share their favourite door photos, drawings, or other images or stories from around the world.
I found many unique doors and windows during my recent visit to Thailand. Here are just a few of my favourite.

A traditional wooden Thai building

The door to a Yoga studio

Windows of a temple in the countryside

A Thai Starbucks

A bookstore in Pai, Thailand. Of course, I bought a book there.

Doors to cabins for rent by the river in Pai, Thailand
There will be more doors in Thailand to come.

I spent most of my time in Chiang Mai with a side trip to Chiang Rai, and Pai in the mountains. It was fabulous.

I’m trying hard not to be jealous, Darlene, but it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit. A future adventure for Amanda?

Good to see, Darlene! Certainly different…
Our nephew Ian married a Thai woman last year, after a long courtship. Do hope it all works out and they will be happy as they are both decent, good souls.

My brother is very happy with his Thai wife and stepdaughter. They have a lovely life together.

Always good to hear, Darlene. Being lucky with a life partner is so important for so many reasons…Fancy having to constantly ‘watch your back!’ (Eric says he sleeps with one eye open, in case I go down his pockets…) Tee hee. Be well. Hugs x

I can never miss a bookstore. I bought a copy of The Dubliners by James Joyce. The owner of the bookstore is from – Dublin!!

A month in Bangkok would be awesome. I only spent an evening there as I visited my brother in Chiang Mai. But I loved Thailand as you can tell.

When you say DOORS, Darlene, I have to LOOK. Doors in Thailand are distinctive with curving lines, much as I would expect. Thanks!

Darlene, I’ve been enjoying the vacation photos you’ve posted on Facebook too. Great doors. It’s funny — the style of the Starbucks logo seems perfect for that building — makes it seem like it belongs there. Hugs.

Something about brown wooden doors that says stability, grounding, and security. These doors in Thailand sure are grand. Lovely photo essay Darlene. Nancy Andres at Colors 4 Health
