Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks for listening, Jay!

I am pleased your joined the conversation, James! Darlene’s enthusiasm for writing is heartwarming.

I agree! I’ve been following her for a while. 🙂

Thank you, Darlene, for being a guest on Tea Toast & Trivia and for introducing me to Amanda. I look forward to following Amanda across the world and enjoying the feeling of being a 12-year-old. As I look back, it was when I was 12 that reading became very important to me because books allowed me to see possibilities and opportunities. I appreciated your honesty – that writing was hard work, but well worth the effort. Your encouragement of aspiring writers to continue to write was heartwarming. I look forward to our ongoing discussions. Life is best when shared with kindred spirits.

Well, that’s exciting!

I am so glad that you listened in, Jacquie. Darlene’s enthusiasm is contagious!

I’ll check it out, Darlene. My one and only podcast didn’t do too well, because the audio should have been boosted a little. I’m sure yours is well-miked! 🙂

Hi Marian! I just signed up to follow your blog. Let’s connect for a podcast sometime in 2021. There are many podcasts with great content but the audio recording is complex especially when you are at a distance and depend upon internet connection. There are a great many clicks, clacks even hisses etc that are inherent when you are on line. I was beyond thrilled that Darlene’s voice came through beautifully and I am looking forward to a return visit to TTT for a reading of Amanda.

Thanks, Marian. I was concerned about doing the podcast but Rebecca and her techy hubby, Don do such a great job of putting this together. I am more than pleased at how it turned out.

Great interview, Darlene! I think it’s fantastic that you were encouraged t write your stories down by your third-grade teacher and that you took the time to reach out and thank her. From a teacher’s perspective, I can tell you that these are some of the most precious memories of my teaching career.

Nice to hear how the character Amanda came to be.

I am delighted that you listened in, Pete. I was thrilled when Darlene accepted my invitation to be on TTT.

Thanks so much, Pete. Teachers need to be thanked as they can make such a difference in a child´s life. I was so happy to find her and to learn she had written a book as well. Big hugs and a few tears.

Here is a post I wrote about Miss Roll a few years back you might like, Pete. https://darlenefoster.wordpress.com/2011/09/27/a-special-teacher/

Congratulations, Darlene!
I am guesting on my first podcast later next week. I am still having a heart-attack about this so it was nice to hear how smoothly and confidently you did yours. Well done!

I am so glad I ventured into the podcast arena and that it turned out so well. Good luck with yours. I will be sure to listen.

Rebecca and Don create wonderful podcasts, Darlene. Going over now to listen.

Yes, they do. I enjoyed listening to your podcast with them as well.

It was lovely to hear your voice, Darlene 🙂 And very interesting to hear your writing journey. Great podcast.

Thanks, Anne. Glad you enjoyed it. I had fun and Rebecca made it all so easy and fun.

I’ve done podcasts–with special apps and all. I’m curious to see how yours comes out.

Thanks, Jacqui! Fortunately, Rebecca and her husband Don are very good at this. Hope you enjoy it.

This is so wonderful! Going to have a listen…

This was brilliant Darlene, so professional! Not just a good writer, a good speaker! Impressed.

Thanks, Sue. I´m pleased you enjoyed it.

Congratulations! Happy to know such a brilliant author.

Thank you so much, Ben. It’s great to see you here and hope you are doing well.

Darlene as many of the guest posts that I have read where you are being interviewed, there is something about hearing your voice that makes the information all the richer. I don’t think that you are odd being able to easily identify with 12 year olds. As you point out with so many in your life at one time or another you have that extra perspective. Congratulations on being featured this way.

Thank you so much for listening, Sue. It was fun to do an interview this way and am delighted that Rebecca gave me the opportunity.

Wonderful, Darlene! I will check it out.

Thanks, Jennie. I have been invited back to read from one of my books. I hope I can do as good a job as you do when you read books aloud. xo

I’m so excited you have been invited back! Thank you for your kind words…you will be terrific! 😀

Darlene, congratulations on your first podcast! 😀 I know Rebecca is a real pro at this and a wonderful person so you will have had a great time. I’ll listen to this during the week and comment on her blog.

Thanks, Rebecca and Don made it very easy. They made me feel comfortable so I wasn´t nervous for long. I hope you enjoy it when you get a chance.

I am sure I will! 😀 I listened to half of it on the way to my mother’s today and love it! The drive was too short! The conversation between you both flows so naturally and I love learning about your travels, the impact of your Grade 3 teacher not only on your writing but the whole course of your life. It is wonderful to put a voice to you, Darlene and a fantastic interview. Can’t wait to listen to the rest! 😀❤️

Thanks, so pleased you enjoyed the interview. xo

Hi, Darlene. I just finished listening to your guest appearance on Tea, Toast & Trivia. You came across very well! I enjoyed listening to you describe Amanda’s outlook on travel and adventure. It gave me a lift!

Thanks, Liz. So pleased you enjoyed the podcast. Something new for me. Glad it gave you a lift!

You’re welcome, Darlene!

Loved the podcast, Darlene!! Awesome!!

Great! Thanks for listening and commenting.

That was a fun interview, Darlene. I loved learning more about you and Amanda. Rebecca makes it so easy!

Rebecca is great! I had fun doing the interview as well. Glad you enjoyed it.

Excellent, Darlene! I really should drag myself, kicking and screaming, into the 19th century and look at podcasts! 🙂

Glad you liked it. I was a bit worried about it but, like many new things, it was painless. Nothing wrong with the 19th century though and I often wish I was back there. (no COVID, just Cholera)

That is fantastic, Darlene – I so admire your confidence and you have so much to talk about with your fabulous Amanda adventures. Toni x

Thanks so much, Toni. Each book brings with it some of my own memories.

Interesting podcast! You sound very confident and enthusiastic. Well done!

Thanks, Stevie. I was a bit nervous but Rebecca made me feel so comfortable. I do get excited when I talk about my books and writing.
