I am so pleased to be a guest on Book Club Mom’s blog where I am asked some great questions. If you haven’t already, pop on over and see what I have to say about writing in a cafe and other things.

Darlene as always I learn something new with each guest post you do. I admire the concentration you have in saying that you could write at a coffee shop as nothing distracts you when you are writing. Very impressive. I also loved that your story published in the school paper had two girls .perhaps a foreshadowing of what was to come!

I only recently recalled that there were two girls in that first published story. I am sure it was foreshadowing. I’m glad I’m not boring you yet. Xo

Another fascinating interview, Darlene. What a fascinating list of careers. They must have been really stretching – could this be part of the secret to your inspiration and drive?

Thanks, Cath. I had some amazing jobs, challenging but rewarding at the same time. I believe my inspiration and drive are a result of being raised on a farm/ranch where hard work was just something you did without question, but there was also time to daydream and create stories in my head. xo

I can ID with your ranch experiences, I grew up on a small farm and that was just how life was for me, too. Wonderful!
