The Blessed Project

Posted on: December 7, 2019

Susie Lindau is featuring a Blessed Project on her blog and I’ve decided to join in since Christmas is a perfect time to count your blessings! Here is the link if you would like to join in too. https://susielindau.com/2019/11/26/join-the-blessed-project-i-will-feature-yours/

I have been blessed with an amazing family.

The best parents ever! (Yup, that’s from the 90s)
A son who is a super dad, grandfather, and musician
An amazing talented potter daughter
and great brothers
Awesome grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Grandsons to be proud of
Fabulous granddaughters
A happy son with his kids and grandkids.
Blessed to have five generations in our family
A loving husband who keeps me laughing
And the sweetest dog!

I am blessed to be part of a huge German Canadian family with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Here are a few of them, but not all.

My wonderful aunts and uncle

I have also been blessed with many friends, some I have had since childhood, who support me and make me feel loved every day.

Friends since babies

So you can see that I am indeed blessed and I am grateful every day.

May you have a blessed holiday season and new year with the special people in your life!!

Thanks, Susie for this opportunity to be part of the Blessed Project

You are blessed and so am I and in many of the ways your photos record here. Have a Blessed Holiday season too, Darlene!

We are both blessed with great families and friends. xo

That was wonderful to see so many photos of special people in your life.

Thanks, Anne. I just love your posts with pictures of your family as well. Families don’t have to be living near each other to feel the love. xo

What a great looking and fun family, Darlene. You will have some excellent holidays, I think.

We are a fun family and I’m glad the pictures reflected that. We have excellent holidays over the years. We will be thousands of miles and an ocean apart this year but the love and closeness will still be there. xo

I love your project, Darlene! I can see from your pictures that you are very blessed. What a wonderful family and friends. The picture in the gym of only a part of your family is extraordinary!!! My family is super small in comparison.

Thank you so much for joining the Blessed Project and for spreading the word! I better get started on mine… I’m up to my eyeballs in making Christmas cards!

Thanks for this project which prompted me to count my blessings. Have fun making the cards. I’m doing that today too. xo

Still working on them. Whew!

I’m glad you’re so blessed, and that you take time regularly to be grateful for the people who are your blessings in life.

Thank you so much, Tori! We can’t take these blessings for granted. xo

What a lovely post,Darlene. 5 generations is amazing. Wow. And what a huge family all together. No end of fun at reunions, I’ll bet. Happy Holidays.

It is amazing to have 5 generations. The family reunions are so much fun, catching up with cousins we only see every 5 years. Happy Holidays to you and yours as well.

You have a wonderful family, Darlene. We had lunch with our extended family today which was lovely.

It is so great to get together with family! We are quite spread out now but still keep in touch on a regular basis. xo

Five generations of happiness. Beautiful!

So true. Thanks for visiting the blog.

A beautiful way to express gratitude. Thanks for sharing!

So many ways to count your blessings, Darlene. Enjoy!

What a lovely idea. You are, indeed, blessed.

Such a great idea! Thanks, Cath.

Wonderful, Darlene! Family is everything.

So true. I once read an ancient Arabic saying, “In time of test, family is best.”

Family and friends are also my greatest blessings!

We are indeed lucky to have them. Some are not so fortunate.

What a beautiful family tribute Darlene. You look just like your mom. And wow, you’re a great grandmother? For real? You look amazing! ❤

Thanks, Debby. We have our babies early in our family! I look like my mom but my personality is more like my dad. I am pleased to have the best of both of them as they are such wonderful people. xo

Truly a blessing Darlene xx

So many blessings with friends and family. Enjoyed your post!

Thanks, Patricia. I am pretty lucky.

Wonderful! Blessings to one and all! ❤

Thank you, Bette. Blessings to you and your family as well. xo

Wow, Darlene. I had no idea you were a great grandmother. No wonder you write such amazing books god children. You have a stash of built in beta readers. That photo of you with “some” of your extended family is stunning. Congratulations. And happy holidays.

Thank you so much, Janet. I do have a great street team, that certainly help me with my books. Have a great holiday season.
