Paris by Night!

Posted on: October 7, 2018

I found Paris to be delightful and loved every minute I was there. A special treat was a drive around the city at night. Here are a few pictures of what we saw. The quality of the photographs may not be great, but, it was nighttime and I was in a car for the most part.

The Opera House, is the phantom lurking behind one of those windows?

It was a drizzly evening so the view from Montmartre, the highest point in Paris, was not great, but it was still exciting to see this vibrant city at night.

I hope you enjoyed my night time views of this fabulous city.

Have you been to Paris at night?

The pictures bring back a good many memories 🙂

I’m sure they do. I recall that you lived in Paris for a while and obviously would have seen it at night. I was sorry I didn’t get to see the Molin Rouge though.

Paris at night is breathtaking… but I love it at any time of day. The Moulin Rouge looks amazing when it is lit at night, but not a place to walk alone… unless you take a carrier bag. I think you are simply assumed to live there if you have a carrier bag 😉

I remember a bateau mouche trip in the snow in 1983/4. Ah Paris whenever is romantic

I didn’t realize it snowed in Paris but I bet it looked gorgeous.

It’s been a long time since I visited Paris. These are gorgeous reminders of why I went!

Pleased I could bring back good memories!

Lovey and brought back fond memories!

Thanks, Irene. I’m sure your memories are wonderful. (and you probably have better pictures!)

No wonder Paris is called the “City of Lights.” Wonderful memories for me, too. Have you seen the movie “Midnight in Paris” by Woody Allen?

I LOVE that movie. I saw it twice before we went and have seen it a couple of times since. I almost titled this post Midnight in Paris but thought it was too obvious where I got the name!

I loved your photos. We were in Paris several days and saw many things in daylight and darkness. We had young children with us and didn’t stay out very late.

How wonderful to take your children to Paris. They will never forget it! We were lucky that our friends, who live just outside Paris, took us into town for a drive around. Glad you enjoyed the photos.

Paris by night is stunning. Thank you for taking me back there x

Glad you enjoyed the post. Great memories for me too.

Such a beautiful city, and even more electrifying at night. There are no words to describe it. Xx

And to think it took me this long to see it!!

You know what they say Darlene, better late than never. Xx

What can be more charming and romantic than Paris at night? Even from the car it looks enchanting.

It certainly added to the experience!!

It looks so romantic Darlene. Beautifully captured and definitely stirs up my wanderlust for Paris.

Such an awesome place. So glad I got to see it!

WOW! These pictures are majestic, Darlene!

Glad you like them. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Wonderful Darlene.. I feel positively romantic…xx

Paris is the city of love for a good reason!

Fabulous, Darlene. On my bucket list!

You will just love it!!

The lights do make it an amazing place!!

It certainly added to the experience!

Stunning photos, Darlene!

I have never been to Paris. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos! Seeing things at night makes it all look so magical!

Pleased you enjoyed seeing Paris through my camera. Seeing it at night was indeed magical.

Good grief, I had no idea how beautiful the Eiffel Tower is at night. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I know. Who would have thought!! Thanks for visiting.

What lovely pictures, Darlene – capturing such a beautiful city.

Thanks, Anne. It is an amazing city.

I think your pictures are amazing. I have not seen Paris at night but definitely want to.

Thanks, Robbie. Something for the list.

Leaving Provence Thursday, heading to Paris for 2 nights enroute to NS. Looking forward to just people watching as I’ve seen the sites on previous visits. Nice pics😎

Paris is a perfect place for people watching. Enjoy!

Lovely photos! Found this in the Senior Salon. I thought I was already following your blog but apparently not – I’ve now corrected that 😊

Thanks, Clive. I’ve made some great friends through the senior salon!

It’s one more now 😉

Yes, we enjoyed our trip there about 8 years’ ago. I especially remember lunch in the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Your photos reminded me of this. Thanks for sharing.

Glad it brought back good memories for you. We didn’t get to the top of the tower as it rained heavy the day we had planned to do it. The rest of the days were booked. A reason to return one day.

I especially like that third photo of the Eiffel Tower. Gorgeous!

Thanks! That’s my favourite too.

Love all your photos! Paris by night is truly beautiful & one of my fave places to explore xo

Thanks, Holly. It was like a different place at night.

I think your photos are amazingly good given the time of day. The Eiffel tower looks very striking lit up like that, and the other buildings are wonderfully spooky and theatrical.

The Eiffel Tower at night is a sight to behold!! So pleased you liked the photos.

Beautiful words, loved your article!

I am soooo late in responding but I am in love with your pictures! I always wanted to go to Paris…it’s a place of dreams, of fantasies, and of history. Alas, I doubt I will ever see it in person. Thank you for bringing the magic closer.

So pleased you enjoyed my pictures. It was magical and took a long time for me to finally visit.
