Me being Jane Austen.

Sally has asked me to dig out an article from my archives about visiting Jane Austen’s cottage. Many of you are aware I am a Jane Austen fan, so this was an exciting occasion for me. If you would like to participate on Sally’s blog by sharing some of your travel themed posts, written before October 2017.. contact sally.cronin@moyhill.com

Smorgasbord Blog Magazine

Time for a new series of Posts from Your Archives and the theme this time is all about travel.

The aim of this series is to showcase your blog and any creative work that you do from books, art, photography and crafts. You pick between one and four links to posts that you have written for your own blog since you began blogging up to October 2017 and you simply send the link to those blogs to sally.cronin@moyhill.com

You have to do nothing more as I will capture the post and images from your blog and I will then post with full copyright to you.. with your creative work and your links to buy and to connect. I might sometimes need a little more information but I am quite resourceful in finding out everything I need.

Thanks, Peta. I love being Jane Austen.

How wonderful it must have been to stand in the very place where Jane Austen lived, especially her bedroom. I am currently reading Mansfield Park, so I’d love to see that crucifix that could have been the inspiration for Fanny Price’s gift for the ball: it would be like making fiction come to life! Maybe I should visit on my return to the UK! What special memories!

It was amazing, Fatima. One of my favourite memories.

This was so much fun, Darlene. I’m a huge Jane Austen fan also. I just re-read the contemporary take on Pride and Prejudice – ELIGIBLE. Have you read it?

No, I haven’t read Eligible yet. I love anything Jane Austen and used to be a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America and attended the conventions. This was a fun trip for me and great to relive it.

I also am a huge fan of Jane Austen. What a treat to visit her home. Your husband is indeed a knight in shining armor for that wonderful surprise. πŸ™‚

Always happy to meet another JA fan. Yes, he is a knight in shining armour and I felt like I was on a great white stead riding on the back of the Honda Goldwing!!

Your hubby is aces, Darlene. What a wonderful surprise ❀

I was immensely pleased, to say the least. It was such a wonderful trip and this just topped it off!!

Darlene as I mentioned on the other site I think your Hubby is very thoughtful indeed .What a fantastic surprise!

It was very special! Thanks.

Fun to ‘see’ you as Jane, nice post, too!

Thanks! I love dressing as Jane. Glad you enjoyed the post.

Great share and great start off Darlene for Sally’s new series. πŸ™‚
