HI! Amanda here.

Thanks for having me as a guest on your blog, Esme. You probably already know that I love traveling to interesting places. My curiosity gets me into trouble sometimes but I always meet interesting people and learn fascinating new things. What you maybe didn’t know is that I enjoy collecting recipes from the places I visit.

Happy birthday! The recipes (and books) look great, with both cardamom and saffron being among my favorites.

Thank you so much. Hope you enjoy the recipes.

Thank you so much, Miriam. If you like rice dishes, you should enjoy these. I have made them for barbeques and they have gone over well.

Thank you for sharing this on your blog Darlene, and again Happy Happy Birthday dear friend

It was a fun guest post! Thanks for having me and Amanda.

Anytime Darlene, when you and Amanda feel up to it you can just let me know and do another Guest Post.

Happy Birthday! What a clever idea for a guest post. Amanda is quite the young lady!

Thanks, Sue. Since she started to travel and see the world, she has certainly come into her own. (funny how that happens) This was a fun guest post!

I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Darlene. Going right over to finish reading this.

Thanks, Robbie. It was a good day and more to come.

Hope you had a good birthday, Darlene. We love spicy food and those rice recipes sound absolutely heavenly. I am sure you are aware of the British love affair with curries and I was first introduced to them in England and looooong time ago! Funny enough, I am making one tonight.

I had a great birthday and we are going to Valencia and Denia on the weekend. Both of these rice dishes are great although not overly spicy. I too love curry. Butter chicken is Paul’s favourite and I make it for him often. Thai green curry is my favourite. Enjoy your curry tonight. xo

Happy belated birthday, Darlene, and many happy returns. I like Amanda’s summary of her adventures, and I also like the look of that rice recipe. I thought it was going to be sweet at first, but it looks like a mixture of sweet and savoury. Do you use standard long grain white rice? Do you usually have it with something, or just on its own?

It is so good and not that sweet. I use regular rice, whatever I have on hand. I sometimes have a piece of fish with it but have had it on its own with maybe a salad. I also serve it at barbecues where there are salads, meat, fish and grilled veges. It is so versatile. I think you would like it.

I love the inclusion of recipes. That makes this book a family affair as much as a YA read. Nicely done.

I love this post, Darlene. I imagine you had great fun writing it 🙂 ❤

Thanks, Tina. I did enjoy writing it. xo

Happy Birthday! What a special day – International Women’ s Day!
